NC FURNITURE
NC Furniture is an introduction to furniture making. It specializes in giving a holistic view to practical and theory-based skills to furniture making. We focus on two main physical projects which encompasses a verity of skills. This included Historical furniture design movements. Drawing skills, sketching and technical, relating to model making as well. Traditional hand cut jointing methods. Veneering, Finishing and modern upholstery methods. There is also a focus on wood machining and wood movement. We like to encourage peer learning in the class which creates a fun and friendly environment where people come from many different backgrounds.

Each year the students make small scale models of their designs before they make their bigger pieces.
